the "jewel" of the san mateo canyon wilderness is a 125ft 5 tiered waterfall...

too bad its run dry and had a small trash and graffiti issue, surprising because its pretty far out of the way to get to. Last time I was here was about a year ago, and there was a good flow at the falls even enough to swim. and the only graffiti was the "turtle rock". someone even spray painted "liz prom?" on one of the slabs that makes up the falls... I hope she said no and dumped that loser.

Dang, that sucks. I've never been out there without seeing water coming over the falls. Sometimes it was just a trickle, but its always flowed all the way down.
