I don't have a Kar. Would my Car work to haul that monstrosity up the trail in?

I kept expecting the Blair Witch to show up. Then he busted out that really cool oven, which made me think ol' Sassy Squatch would come knocking at the front door.

No, I haven't camped in a cardboard tent. No plans to either. I mean, I don't want to pony up for an extra carbon monoxide detector either.

You could hire a Sherpa to carry the tent up a trail. But like he says, it's intended for use at festivals, or easy car camping. It doesn't look like it could take much wind, not being tied down.

Sure..with my car near by. What a joke....pouring rain, wilderness. Cut! Bring back the other brit...the 'special forces' clown.
At least cook a snake to show how rugged you are.

How much does it weigh - before and after the rain?
I recall reading on Backpacking Light years ago a guy made a tent out of tyvek.

Tyvek has been discussed extensively for cheep, light gear. Mainly a tarp tent - some rope and tyvek tarp. I think a few have discussed it in this site. If memory serves...which is rare lately.

Taco and I both use a Tyvek tarp. My review: works OK, but is extremely loud and crinkly. Maybe that goes away after some time, but I'm not there yet.

Crumple it up, run it through the clothes washer and hang to dry. Makes it nice and soft and most important, quiet.

I have a Tyvek tarp as well. It is loud. But I haven't washed mine per JeffH. It's also more bulky than you'd think. At least more so than plastic drop cloth. But more durable obviously.

Ok, I'll be the one to say it: that's just fucking stupid.

I should probably add that I use a front load washer which is a lot gentler.

Hmm...its a step towards sustainability.
The thing is they are rediscovering the outdoors. Thus the "outdoor oracle"...influencer..witch doctor..etc.
I was thinking he muses is this proper for outdoors...which they have little of.
And will he know before the world ends from climate change.

Of course there is a triple boycoot for evil dupont, so thats a nonstarter.

Combining Satanism and cardboard just seems wrong.
