Looks like MSR is putting out some new takes on some of it's most venerable stoves. New Stoves from MSR.

The legs on the new Whisperlite look suspiciously similar to an old Primus stove a friend of mine had.

Stove companies tend to imitate each other, so it wouldn't surprise me if MSR drew their inspiration from Primus. Also, Primus has their Omnifuel which will burn gas, gasoline, and kerosene. Again, I wouldn't be surprised if MSR drew inspiration from Primus.
