This is a cool idea although I've never seen any. But I think we should stick with the cool black and white ones. They are unique!

Whenever I see those on a peak it makes me smile.

I barely got stickers because someone was stingy. I finally got my hands on some. The big ham ones suck but I like the black ones and the blue and white ones.

Cool! I'll check it out next time I hike Wilson. There were quite a few succulents on the trail.

Last week I hiked to Dawn Mine in search of mushrooms. Lots of water in the canyon and many, many stream crossings. I managed to keep my shoes dry with all the skipping, hopping and jumping over rocks. Anyways, I found a few mushrooms but nothing really worth posting. The waterfalls and mini cascade...

Nice! I love to see multiple waterfalls when exploring different canyons. It makes it all worth it.

Today they were filming mountain bikers on the Mount Lowe Motorway. It was an all day thing. After we finished our hike they were still there. I thought I saw Taco??

Today while hiking upper dark canyon, I saw the most beautiful red mushroom. I've never seen one like it. There was only one and it was pretty damn cool. They are named Creamy Rusula

This is crazy!!! People are so excited to hike Baldy in the snow and forget about the dangerous conditions that could cost them their lives. As much as I love the winter wonderland, I'm not that stupid!

I think a species of yellow staining mushroom. Species agaricus xanthodermus
Or maybe puffballs. It's hard to tell.

Shaggy Parasol-white mushrooms
Scaly Rustgill-orange

Veiled oyster white one
Leukopaxillus- large white fluffy one
Sordid Blewit- purple one
Generally blewits are light brown/dark brown& orange but I've never seen purple!
Orange jelly or tremella are the ones found on the trees

Found these mushrooms on the Echo Mtn trail this morning.

Wow! I just took the time to read some of those trip reports.
It's too bad that marker is now missing at the Stony observatory near Devils peak.

I will have to read the rest when I have more time.

I took a group hiking past Henninger Flats on Jan 24th, the lookout tower was taken down. They also removed the sign.
Why? I don't know.
